  1. Lynx 2.0 (Alpha version) is now available.
  2.  
  3. Lynx was developed by the University of Kansas for use as a CWIS
  4. interface.
  5.  
  6. With the help of the WWWLibrary Lynx is now a complete WWW client!
  7.  
  8. Lynx provides a simple, easy to use full screen curses interface 
  9. for UNIX systems.  As well as some advanced features such as 
  10. a configureable and editable home page for each user and cut
  11. and paste functions for moving links to the home page.  
  12.  
  13. Lynx provides a simple yet powerful printing interface, providing
  14. the functionality to mail files to yourself and any number of
  15. system administrator configured printers.  Lynx also fills
  16. in some of the missing Gopher interface. (CSO, file transfer, etc)
  17.  
  18. Assistance is needed for porting Lynx to all operating system, as
  19. K.U. has a very limited number of operating systems in use.
  20.  
  21. For a limited time the alpha (and soon beta) version will be available
  22. for anonymous ftp from 'acs220.cc.ukans.edu' in the /pub directory.
